Kaneohe Bay Air Show 2010

Image
Friday we spent the day at the Kaneohe Bay Air Show.  We were there because I really wanted to see the Blue Angels.  Trey was told the show started at 11.  We were both crazy in thinking that the Blue Angels would be the opening act.  Once we were there we found out that they didn't perform until 3pm.  I was crossing my fingers hoping that the girls would hold out for four hours in the sun.  Luckily, Friday was for military personnel only which made the day so much nicer.  We didn't have to deal with the huge crowds that were going to be there on Saturday and Sunday.  We had prime seating with literally nobody next to us.  The air show started with skydivers.  The last of the skydivers had an American flag attached to him which was an awesome way to start to show.  Then there were all kinds of different shows being put on.  Trey's squadron, HSL-37, had two of it's helicopters perform.  They just basically did a fly by and ...

Big Girl Undies

Image
I've decided to just have Riley wear big girl undies instead of the pull up during the day.  I was finding that Riley wouldn't tell me when she had to pee and would just go in the pull up and it didn't bother her.  But once I put the big girl undies on her it was a different story.  She's been doing really well, although it's still only been about 4 days.  The first day she only had one accident.  The second day was full of accidents, but only because we didn't get to the potty in time.  The third day was successful until she decided to poop in her undies while I was getting dinner ready.  Had I been watching her I'm sure she wouldn't have done that.  And day four was successful, until again, she pooped in her undies.  I was upstairs feeding Hadley and told Trey to watch her because she hadn't gone #2 yet.  The next thing I know Riley comes into Hadley's room waddling with her legs apart.  She was crying because she had poo in her p...

10 Months & a Familiar Face

Image
Can you believe this adorable face is 10 months old!!  I find it hard to believe that in two more months she'll be one!  I seriously feel like this time around has gone faster than with Riley.  Lord help me if the years keep getting quicker and quicker.  Too bad I think they will!  Hadley is now trying to stand on her own.  She only can stand alone for about 5 seconds at a time before she falls on her bum, but she's getting there.  Hadley is a fan of holding onto the couch or table or wall to help her move along on her feet.  She is a super fast crawler now.  I mean crazy fast.  Trey and I crack up laughing watching her zoom around.  I'm anxiously waiting for the first steps.  Hadley's favorite thing to say right now is "no, no, no!"  I think she hears that phrase all too often!   We went out to dinner tonight with an old family friend, Joe Knight.  Most of you know Joe is one of Justin's best friends.  He's...

Party of Five

As many of you already know, Trey and I are expecting baby #3!  My estimated due date is May 12, 2011.  Apparently we are running a baby factory in our house!  Ha ha!  However, this will be the last addition to our family.  Trey and I both agree that our family will be complete once our new bundle of joy graces us with his(or her) presence.  We are both really excited, which is one of the reasons we aren't waiting until I'm 12 weeks to announce our news.  We didn't wait to announce the first two pregnancies, so why wait this time!  Trey definitely has his hopes up to get his boy this time around.  I hope for his sake he does!  I don't know what Trey would do with a house filled with all women!  Either way, boy or girl, we'll be happy with another healthy baby.  I look forward to keeping everyone posted on baby Prewitt #3!!

Cook Out

Image
Today was definitely a day where I remember exactly what I was doing 9 years ago.  It was such a horrendous day when we were under attack and so many lives were taken.  But I am grateful to all the men and women who have lost their lives fighting for us and for those who are still fighting.  Today reminded me of all the things I am so very grateful for, especially my family and friends.  It was an absolutely beautiful day here in O'ahu, so we decided to have a cook out with our friends, The Derryberry's.  They set up their blow up slide and pool so that the kids could play in the water while us adults enjoyed some conversation.  It was just the perfect evening to be spending outside.  Trey and Derel were in charge of the grilling and boy was the chicken delicious!  Of course while I was eating I sat Hadley down on a blanket only to turn away from her for a second to find that she ate a piece of grass and started choking on it.  You better bel...

Mahalo for Visiting

Image
After Diamond Head the rest of the day was really chill.  Kiki and Aunt Terry had to be at the airport around 5:30pm so we all just hung around the house and watched a movie.  Of course 5:30 came way too quickly.  The time came to take them to the airport and I know my mom was fighting back her tears.  Hadley was still napping when we left for the airport, but I had Kiki and Aunt Terry give her a kiss before I put her in her crib.  Riley rode with us to the airport and she didn't want to say goodbye when we dropped them off.  I helped get the luggage out of the car and gave hugs and kisses.  It's always hard to see the ones you love leave, but I know I'll see them again soon.  My mom, of course, had her sunglasses on to shield her watery eyes!  I had a fabulous time with Kiki and Aunt Terry.  Both Riley and Hadley adored them.  As soon as we drove away Riley was asking for Kiki and Berry(that was Aunt Terry's name while she was here...

Diamond Head- Take 2

Image
Well it's Kiki and Aunt Terry's last day here in beautiful O'ahu.  I'm rather sad thinking about the fact that their time here is over.  But, I'm still going to make the most of the time we have left together.  We were going to hike Diamond Head before Aunt Terry went to Maui but then decided to save it for when she got back.  Of course now Trey has an injured ankle and can't help me get our girls up the mountain.  That's okay though, I'm going to tough it out and utilize the help of my mom and Aunt Terry.  So we get to Diamond Head and the parking lot is full.  This means we would have to park across the street, which in turn means we would have to walk about a mile to get to Diamond Head.  So we decide that I will just drop of Kiki and Aunt Terry and I'll stay in the car with the girls.  I knew they'd finish in about an hour, whereas if we had taken both the girls it would've been close to a 2 hour event.  Of course it was kind of crap...

Kiki's Last Dinner in Hawaii

Image
It's Kiki's last night here with us.  Trey was really craving some Italian food so we decided to go try a place called Buca di Beppo that I had heard great things about.  Aunt Terry decided to sit this dinner out and just have some left over lasagna.  I wasn't exactly sure how dinner was going to go because we were leaving later than normal and Riley hadn't taken a nap.  Luckily when we arrived at the restaurant we only had to wait about 3 minutes for a table.  The hostess asked if we had eaten there before and I replied no.  Little did I know that answer got us a tour through the kitchen.  It was really cool and Trey loved every moment of the tour.  Trey and I haven't been able to find a good Italian restaurant since we've lived here and the second we sat down at our table Trey knew we found a great spot.  Buca di Beppo is family style dining, so the portions are huge.  A small order feeds 2-3 people.  Of course instead of us split...
